Just to say a big thanks for all your hard work that you have put into this event. With all good events, it takes an enormous amount of planning and preparation and yours certainly paid off.
It was my son's first trip away - he enjoyed every minute of it and never looked back from the time he left the car on Sunday afternoon. I am seperating the grass clippings from the washing and his body has admitted defeat and he has gone to bed exhausted!
The web site was great and it became a daily ritual, searching the photos of him, looking at the on-site weather, the activities you were up to and listening to CubJam.
All the best - we are glad that we introduced him to the world of Cubs and Scouting.
Denise and Roger Cohen
My son (contingent 159) has returned home tonight after a lovely week - thank you!
Judie Lloyd
On behalf of contingent 109 we would like to say thanks for a great time at CUBJAM.
Looking forward to the next one.
Hope to see you all again.
Many thanks from:
Pete Gausden
Please pass on the grateful thanks of The 4th. Balham & Tooting Cubs to ALL the CUBJAM team
for the great week thay have just enjoyed.
All the boys had a really great time taking part in activities that they had never done before.
One or two of them came home with addresses from cubs in other packs which they had exchanged which goes to show that they had done what they were supposed to do and that is "intergrated".
It was great to meet you and get to know other leaders.
Once again many thanks for your time and effort,
Tony Holland (Akela)
Thanks for a great week, real good positive feedback from the Cubs on the way home. The week really went well.
Thanks once again for everything, it was a pleasure coming to CubJam and a pleasure working with you.
Mark Lombardo
On behalf of all the children, young leaders and leaders in contingent 66 I would like to say a very big thank you for giving all the children a fantastic time, some of the children overcome great fears of heights and to see their expressions on their faces once they had done this was a picture never to be forgotten.
Once I wake up I will be sending some comments straight from the children.
Once we have packed away, cleared all the washing and started to reflect on the last week I am sure we will be waiting for the details to come out about the next CUBJAM.
Once again a very big Thank you
Penny Wilson (Akela)
Thanks for all the work that went into a very good camp.
Mike Hudgell (Contingent 70)

Alex Tudor - Cub Scout - Contingent 27
Had a great time at my first Cub camp. Thanks to everyone who looked after me
Cubjam FM was fantastic and my mum liked to see the photos each day. She kept looking for me!!
Katie Age 9. Contigent 46 Letchworth and Baldock District
I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity of helping at Cubjam and hope that with the knowledge I have gained in the last week or so that I may be of assistance at any future events?
I have totally enjoyed my time at Cubjam and know from my contact with the Cubs that they all had a great time as well.
Nigel Piper - Site Activity Co-Ordinator
I would like to thank everyone for a great week.
On the way back to Gosport my Cubs kept on about what they had been doing. The one thing I gained from everyone is how much they enjoyed themselves. Some of the parents told me that they had been tuning in daily and were pleased with what they saw and heard.
Again thankyou for a great week.
Sue Archer (Akela)contingent 40
Thanks for a lovely week last week - all our Cubs went home really happy and asking if there was going to be another CUBJAM next year!
Myra McLelland - Contingent 158
What a great Cubjam - when's the next one because I'll definitely be going.
Thank you to everybody (especially the leaders in Contingent 27), who gave up their time to make this a fantastic week that I'll never forget.
Mum & Dad were really impressed with all the photos on the website and Cubjam FM which they listened to each day.
A massive thank you from Matthew Reah (Contingent 27)
Thanks for a superb week at Blacklands. Our Cubs (Alresford and Cheriton) had a whale of a time. Congratulations to you and your team for making it go well and dealing with all the challenges. For many years I was involved in the Blair Atholl Jamborette in Scotland so I know a little of what it's like to arrange these things and I think you did pretty well. I was one of the contingents which was "challenged" by the logistics on Tuesday morning on the Bluebell Railway trip. We ended up at the station an hour before the train with nothing to do, but the kids didn't really notice - we played some games on the lawn (actually, the leader from the 4th Basingstoke played the games and they were new games to us so a real winner!), and enjoyed the sunshine. It really wasn't a big issue - of course it would have been better to go to plan and could have been worse if it was raining, but lets focus on the important thing - when I asked my lads/lasses what the best bit was, many of them named the Bluebell Railway day out!
Roy Naismith (Contingent 158)
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who were involved in organising CubJam05. I visited the camp on Thursday and was very impressed with the whole organisation. From talking to a number of the Cubs they had enjoyed all of the activities from zip wire to grass sledging to abseiling etc. I even had to go on the zip wire myself. It seems most of them were extremely tired at the end of the camp fire and this shows that you had arranged a very full and packed programme for them. I though the site was excellent with some excellent facilities. I also thought it was suburb that contingents were not packed in close together and that they all had their own space.
I was also impressed by the website and from looking at some of the photos earlier in the week, I really wanted to be there to see the Cubs enjoying themselves. From talking with leaders it seems that everyone has had a very enjoyable and tiring time. It seems that the whole event has been brilliantly organised.
One again thanks for everything, I'm sure all of the Cubs will have many memories of a brilliant week.
Nigel Taylor. District Commissioner. Ampthill and Woburn District Scouts
I was really impressed by the magnificent organisation of the CUBJAM, and the kids seemed to have an absolute ball.
Hilary Galloway - Scouting Magazine
You and your Team have done an outstanding job by providing Cub Scouts at Camp with an exciting and dynamic programme. Clearly all the hard work and preparations paid off and it is a flag ship event for other parts of the UK to consider running in their own regions. Please pass on my best wishes and thanks to everyone involved.
Greg Stewart - Assistant Director for Programme - The Scout Association
We went to Cubjam last week. Thankyou to all the people that organised it . My best part was the Bluebell railway. My Sister’s best part was swimming. Our food was great we had really sticky porridge. We liked marching to Amarillo and crazy frog played on Cubjam FM. We all got little radios to listen to Cubjam FM. We had a Scoubie School on the coach on the way home
Alex and Rebecca - Contingent 46 - Letchworth and Baldock
I liked grass sleding - Steven aged 10 - contingent 53
the whole thing was good - Dominic - aged 10 - contingent 53
Its a Knockout was brill, i loved messin around in the foam. - Keiran - aged 9 - Contingent 53
The whole week was really good, the boys have not stopped talking about it,whens the next one?
they slept all the way home to the New Forest in the mini-bus.
Tara Paul (Akela) - contingent 53 - 3rd New Forest North
Today we went to Bluebell Railway. It was great. We rode on not 1, but 2 trains that both took 30 minutes. Christopher went ballistic on the train and unfortunately I got a headache!
In the evening we went to campfire. We were all given glow sticks. We sung along to the songs and it was fun. I think that Amberley was an edge better but the railway was fun too. I can't believe we are going home tomorrow. It's gone so quickly and I've really enjoyed it. The cinema is the incredible and guess who watched it... ME.
I'll be glad to see my parents but I'll miss CUBJAM and CUBJAM FM. It rocks and I love it. After the camp fire we had a nice warm shower. It was gorgeous.
I don't want to leave Cubjam but I have too... Hopefully I'll come again.
Please, please, please book me, I REPEAT me again. At least I've got family camp and Guernsey with the Scout and Guide band. We're going to show loads of pictures to the public. I'm still sixer and can't wait to lead everyone for the rest of my Scouting career.
Edward - Aged 9 - 7th Malden Cub Scouts
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for organising such a fun filled week, my son had a fantastic time and came back exhausted. He still hasn’t stopped talking about it.
Michelle Trebert
Thank you for taking me to camp and giving a great time. I enjoyed all the activities and food. I can't wait until the next camp.
Charlotte - Stevenage - Contingent27
Well, what can I say. My last camp as Akela for Beacon Pack (contingent 100) certainly finished on a high. As I said to you in the beginning, I wanted to be able to give my cubs the opportunity to take part in a jamboree style camp, and you were able to provide this for them. At first it was difficult getting used to having someone else responsible for the programme, but after a couple of days, we all soon got into the routine. On the last day, all the cubs told me how much they had enjoyed it, especially those that had the chance to try out new activities. In this modern world where kids seem to spend their whole time on the 'Playstation', I am glad to be involved in something that didn't involve anything other than imagination and play, without the use of a tv screen or monitor. I am sure that all those involved will remember the week, passing on their excitment to all that want to listen. Thanks again to you and your team.
John Easton (Akela Beacon Cubs 2005)
I did not get to see much of what was going on as i was the cookie for the week but judging by the look on the cubs faces as they returned for their dinners and suppers well it said it all .
All the cubs were non stop talking about the activities they had done and were going to do
including the (its a knockout) which they absolutely loved (the foam that is)
Dee - Contingent 57 blue sub camp
I would be grateful if you would pass on our thanks to all the organisers for Cub Jam, we all had a fantastic time, parents have advised that the cubs that attended have not stopped talking about the fun and the experiences that they have had. Of course it would not have been possible without all the efforts of your team of helpers and organisers.
Michelle Le Clerc - Contingent 117
It was a great experience and one that myself and all of our contingent will never forget.
My personal favorate part of the whole experience was "Cubjam FM". It was a great idea to have a local radio station for all to listen to and interact with, and i think we did all of that to the maximum. Cant wait for the next CubJam. Please Hurry.
James Jones - Contingent 84
Congratulations and thanks on a brilliant piece of organisation and on providing such memorable and constructive fun for so many cubs.
DC - Harpenden & Wheathampstead
Many thanks for the CD and other items you sent me about Cubjam '05. The feedback I had from the Blythe District Group that attended was excellent; the Cubs had a fantastic time. Watching the CD was a good reminder as to why we do it! Keep up the good work. Here's to the next one.
