Wayne Bulpitt (UK Chief Commissioner)
"Many thanks Louise, it was another great day; most enjoyable.
Congratulations to you, Steve and the team."
Matt Hyde (CEO of the Scout Association)
"You are very welcome and thank you for hosting us last week.
Well done again for a magnificent week. You have much to be proud of – and hope you have caught up on some rest now!"
Alan Wilding (contingent adult)
"It was my first Cubjam but wanted to say that having the explorers on camp was a great idea. I know they were very useful as staff members but also connected well with the Cubs encouraging them to join in a way us leaders could never do. Many of our Cubs were working out on the train home if they would be old enough to come to Cubjam 2019 as an Explorer!"
Kris Evans (parent)
"Hi just wanted to drop you guys a letter of thanks, my son Jake (of 1st East Wickham in Bexley) came back from Cubjam this afternoon and hasn't stopped talking about it since. From seeing Bear Grylls to having his shirt signed by Steve Backshall yesterday he's loved it and it's drawn him closer to the
scouting community as a whole. So much so that he's begging me to get back into leadership again, so you might have an extra volunteer in 2019..." (we'll hold you to that Kris :-) )
Rikki Harrington (visitor)
"I greatly enjoyed my day at CUBJAM. Very many thanks for masterminding yet another hugely successful and memorable event. The imagination, enthusiasm, dedication and time put in by so many good people would seem beyond belief to those not familiar with Scouting. There was a sea of smiling faces in spite of the rather drab conditions, and plenty for everybody to enjoy without long queues. I (almost) wished I was there for the whole week!! Congratulations to one and all – I hope you make a speedy recovery!"
Tina Honeyset (parent)
"He said Cubjam was Awesome and loved dancing outside the Cubjam FM studio, zorbing, campfire and so much more. Thanks to everyone involved for creating such amazing memories for the cubs, especially the leaders from Letchworth & Baldock District who looked after the young people of contingent 52"
Andrew Elwyn (contingent adult)
"On behalf of 3rd Aylesbury Cubs, just wanted to congratulate all of you on a hugely successful CUBJAM 2016.
We have had plenty of responses from parents saying how much their Cubs had enjoyed the camp and had many tales to tell. From a leaders perspective, we also had a great time and thought that the organisation and activities had all gone very well, although we appreciate there is of course a lot of very hard work done in the background to ensure everything works seamlessly.
Well done once again and we look forward to 2019 for 'Around the World' with a new bunch of eager Cubs."
Reuben (Cub Scout)
He described the Thursday as ‘the best day of his life after being born!’ I think you’ll be able to count on his support in years to come!"
Rachel Allen (parent)
"Just wanted to say a massive thank you for Cubjam. Iris has had such an amazing week of fun and it wouldn’t have been possible without you giving up your time. She has spent the afternoon/evening genuinely saddened that it’s over; “I wish I could do it all over again”, “I want to be getting in to my tent right now” (rather than her bed) etc etc. “I want to go back to Gilwell”. There have been tears.
I genuinely think it will have shaped her outlook and given her a strong sense of the things that she enjoys doing.
Louise, it seems like it was a brilliantly organised event. Steve Backshall was a huge hit by the sounds of it. It’s amazing what can be achieved by so many volunteers.
From a parents’ point of view it was great to know that they were in such capable hands (although that didn’t stop me whittling as I watched the torrential rain fall on Tuesday!). "
